Guilin, one of the most beautiful cites in the southwest of China, it has the unique Karst landform, pretty mountains and rivers, fresh air and clean water, all these make Guilin a wonderful place to travel. One day tour in Guilin is enough for all famous attractions.

First, book a nice hotel near by the Li River in Guilin. There are many Guilin hotels you can choose, I recommend Lijiang waterfall hotel, five stars, good services and the location is near by Guilin downtown and the Li River, that makes you are convenient to go window-shopping and take a walk along the Li River. You’d better arrive at Guilin in the afternoon or evening, at night fall is the best, that means you have more time to take dinner, go shopping in downtown and have a good rest. In addition, you need to buy some water, breads or snacks for the next day trip.

On the next day morning, pick up your bag and leave the waterfall hotel. Go east and after about 10 minutes, you will approach the Li River. And then walk southward along the river, the beautiful scene from Li River and fresh air can really comfort you. The road you are walking is called Binjiang Road, many people organized to dance aside the road. Most of them are old people, they dance the traditional dance and Latin dancing, it makes you think, Guilin’s daily life maybe begin from the dancing. Remember turn left at the first cross, you will see the entrance of the Elephant Trunk Hill Park. This park is one of the musts in Guilin. The next thing to do is enjoy yourself in the park. In fact, there is nothing special in this park, except the little hill looks like an elephant drinking water with its trunk. The scenery of the Li River in this park is the most beautiful. Finishing the visit of Elephant Trunk Hill Park, it must be noon of the day, if you are not in hurry, you can try the Guilin Rice Noodle. It is not hard to find a small restaurant selling Guilin Rice Noodle, this kind of noodle is famous from it’s special seasoning ——bittern. I don’t know how to make such a seasoning, but it is really tasty, and it is said that the bittern has a long history from the Qin Dynasty.

In the afternoon, take a taxi and go straight to the Seven Star Park, it is the second must-visit place in Guilin city. Inside the park, there are some ancient structures build as garden style, which makes you feel like living in the ancient China. You can also see animals such as tigers, moneys, deer in a small zoo. If you don’t mind, you can take a photo with tigers. The tigers do mind anyway, they are seem to be anaesthetized and dizzy to sleep. As a mater of fact, the most worthwhile visiting in Seven Star Park is definitely the Seven-Star Cave. The cave has a lot of rocks which are touched smoothly and formed various shapes. It is said that water in Guilin is of acidity causing chemical change with rocks and finally results in the melting of the rocks. All in all, the cave is wonderful. You can’t find how excellent it is until you are visiting it.

Finishing the visit of Seven Star Park, you can go back to hotel. Go and do further shopping in downtown streets if you want. That is all about day tours in Guilin city.
