The southern part of India is like a multi facet bow which shoots out an ace arrow, one after the other. From ayurveda based medical tourism to temple themed pilgrimage tour packages, the magic doesn’t end here. South Indian tourism has trump cards like spirituality filled culture tours; backwaters based honeymoon tour packages, twin hill station paradises like Ooty and Munnar etc. The list is actually endless.

The Spiritual Slice Spirituality and religion have been well connected since historic times, so much so that many scholars are of an opinion that these are 2 slightly different definitions of the same term. Culture is an extension of both, spirituality and religion while temples are the shell under which these 2 aspects dwell.

Not many places on this earth can boast of having close to 100,000 temples; hence south India is one fascinating, spiritual ride of your life. Apart from visiting many different shrines and witnessing magical Indian festivals, a visit to Sri Aurobindo’s Ashram in the scenic locales of Pondicherry is the real icing on the cake.

Medical Tourism via Ayurveda and Other Related Features Ayurveda is considered as one of the oldest forms of medicine, which is still around. Going with the literal meaning, words ‘ayur’ and ‘veda’ make the term – ayurveda. Ayur refers to life and veda refers to knowledge, which when combined refers to science of life or knowledge for life. Ayurvedic medicines don’t have any side effects, and it is said that ayurveda cures for life, not just a temporary solution.

Apart from a Spiritual Tours of South India, even ayurvedic tours and rejuvenation packages can be customized effectively to accommodate nice resorts, monsoon laden climate and other cultural and heritage based aspects. With a nice plethora of forests and wildlife based flora and fauna, the rejuvenation trip would be much more exciting than plain medical tours.

Touring the Hill Stations of South India Geographically, the backwaters of Kerala, the magnificent beaches and the hill stations form the major highlights of south India based tourism. South India like Goa also has lavish white sand beaches and talking about the backwaters of Kerala – its beauty just cannot be translated via words. South India also has 2 of the most famous hill stations of India, queen of hill stations Ooty Tour and the naturally splendid Munnar.

In addition, exploring the local heritage via walks, traditional music & dance shows is recommended along with enjoying delicious and spicy south Indian delicacies (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare).

Lastly, one of the major advantages of touring any part of the sub continent is the mild climate (barring heat waves) it offers, which actually is quite predictable so planning is easy.
